Captian's Log
August 2nd, 2015
Wind: Fully opened, Temperature 65 F, Status: Cramped

I must must first apologize for my negligence of these past few weeks as I confess I have been quite distracted. After completing my training, I was given a personal leave and have spent it with my loved ones. I first traveled eastwards with my family, to the region know as Quebec where the natives speak in a strange and guttural tongue. I met my dearest Mary there and naturally, this led to the neglect of my log, but I trust that this will adequately excuse me. Now the day has finally arrived and I have once again found the time to write in the confines of the airship that will take my on the first leg of my journey. My travels began early this morning with a most memorable departure. I had been playing my gramophone as the airship prepared to take flight and the initial jolt into the air caused to needle to skip resulting in our take off being accompanied by Paul Pott’s rendition of Con Te Partiro (Time to say Goodbye). Whether it was simply luck or судба, I can not think of a more fitting begging.
