Watching the rays of light slowly creep across the lake below I can not help but think that a new day is also beginning to dawn in the chapter of my own life as I prepare to embark on my first great solo expedition. My commission will take me deep into the heart land of the Rus, to the ancient city of Vladimir. I begin this account as a means to record the findings of my many travels, and it shall exist as much for myself and my friends as it will for the benefit of science. Therefore, I shall henceforth seek to continue this record of my travels. What new a fascinating discovers await! What sorts of interesting people will I find? Only time will, tell but the anticipation gnaws at my soul like the dreaded Nidhogg. I have completed my TEFL training and much of the necessary paperwork. and am now awaiting the arrival of my visa. I am set to depart on the 5th of August and until then, I shall continue to prepare both my body and mind for the journey ahead.
